Newsfeeds and RSS |

Newsfeeds - both coming
and going - are something you badly need on your site if you want people
to keep coming back.
For example, the column you see just to the left is a newsfeed dealing with RSS (Really Simply Syndication). There is no way I can rewrite all of the content for this site everyday - it would take a dozen or more clones! And yet, I want you to find the latest information from sources I trust and respect, whether I write it or not. You see, my focus is on collecting and refining some of the best tools you'll ever find on the Net to use for your own website design and maintenance. That's what I do. There's no need for me to reinvent the wheel when there are people out there who know a whole lot more about certain topics than I do. I have a niche, but knowing it all about everything is not it! For years I have gathered third-party newsfeeds to liven up the pages of my first "real" website - TennTimes the News - as well as the site of a real weekly newspaper I worked for as assistant editor and investigative reporter. One of the best, most comprehensive sources of RSS and Blogging material I've found comes from Robin Good, whom I just sort of stumbled across in a Google search. You'll find much of his advice and many of his RSS feeds in these pages.
